The Witcher 3 has become one of the most critically acclaimed games of the year, finishing out CD Projekt Red’s RPG trilogy with praise for its story and combat alike. And one of the most significant features that was singled out by the developer before its release was the open-world content
promising a huge amount of side material outside of the main story.
Now, to add on top of this seemingly endless experience, the developer has actually confirmed
one new important piece of information. Community lead Marcin Momot was_asked_the_question_on_Twitter and said that yes, “There is no level cap.” Meaning
on top of the amount of side content to be completed, a person really could keep playing
this game to potentially Skyrim levels of perpetuity.
Of course what this has now led to is some gamers asking for the developer to introduce a
New Game Plus mode, most likely with the hopes that it will increase the game’s challenge.
Though Momot and CD Projekt Red have not responded. Hopefully some of the upcoming
DLC – ‘Hearts of Stone’ and ‘Blood and Wine’ – can help satisfy those fans.
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is out now and available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox
One, and PC.
